FISHING TOURNAMENT & SHOOTING TOURNAMENT
Boilermakers Local 40 Shooting Tournament:
The Second Annual Trap, Skeet and Sporting Clay shoot will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2008. The site for the shoot will be the Daviess County Gun Club. Everyone will need to furnish their own shotgun and shells. Everyone can shoot any one event or all events. The cost will be $5.00 Trap(25 targets), $5.00 Skeet(25 targets) and $10.00 Sporting Clays(50 targets). Registration and practice will begin at 8:00 a.m. CST. Shooters will be responsible for cost of practice rounds. The shoot will begin at 9:00 a.m. There will be a meal provided following the shoot at the club house.

Western Kentucky Fishing Tournament:
This years Western Kentucky Fishing Tournament will be held at Rough River Lake on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at North Fork Boat Ramp. There will be a three (3) dollar fee to launch your boat. The tournament starts at 7:00 pm CST with weigh in at 7:00 am. The entry fee is $20.00 per person and two persons per boat. One person in each boat must be a boilermaker union member. There will be a potluck meal starting at 6:00 pm. at the picnic shelter adjoining the boat ramp. We will travel to a nearby restuarant for breakfast after the weigh in.
Directions - Coming from the east on the Western Ky Parkway take exit #94 and turn right (north) on Highway 259. Travel approximatley 14 miles to McDaniels, Ky. Then turn right on Highway79/259 and go approximatley 1 mile. the boat ramp will be on the right. Coming from the west use the same directions except turn left at the end of the ramp. Coming from the east on Highway 60 turn left onto Highway 79 west at Harned Ky. and travel approximatley 9 miles. The boat ramp will be on your left. Coming from the west use the same directions, except turn right onto Highway 79 West.

Eastern Kentucky Fishing Tournament:
This years Eastern Kentucky Fishing Tournament was held at Grayson Lake on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Grayson Lake Marina boat ramp. The tournament started at 6:00 pm EST with weigh in at 6:00 am. There were 16 boats entered this year. Congratulations to the winners listed below.

Second Place: Chad Parsons(Local 40) & Brent Sexton(Local 105)
Biggest Fish: Bill Kitchen(Local 105)
